Talking about this in cm, mm just doesn't make sense! What matters if you move mouse about 800 DPI, it will move mouse about 800 DPI on monitor. No reason to want it on exact integer values per your mouse distance traveled in cm. What if you move your mouse about 800 DPI? It would be like 1.2 cm on monitor (random number just to illustrate point). But it still doesn't make sense to talk about cm, or even mm. "It's technically possible to make 1 cm of mouse movement equalling 1cm of screen movement, or any unit really." Even with 800 DPI on a mouse: it takes like 2 something inches to traverse screen from one edge to another. What a weird thing to say: obviously cursor will move faster on-screen, than mouse! 24 inch monitor will have about 20 inches. "Now move your mouse to the right, notice how the cursor moves faster then the mouse. "Try moving your mouse to the corner bottom left of the screen, then try to position your physical mouse below that cursor on your desk like shown in the image on the right." I have something else, which is weird about raw input, but don't want to complicate this thread right now. I also read, it should lower input lag, as it can read data directly from a mouse and doesn't have to go through windows - this has also a pitfall: some games activate smoothing with raw input, which will break 1:1 mouse ratio, therefore not the same DPI on your monitor as on your mouse! There is always a dynamic input lag!Īlso you can turn on raw input in some games, but when I check enhance mouse precision, raw input doesn't stop this! Which is strange! There should be already no acceleration, at least in terms of DPI. put zero-length binary value for SmoothMouse(X,Y)Curve in regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse.And if you have acceleration from a sensor, I Am not sure, if there is any way to correct it by a software! So this line already seems little bit redundant to me. Isn't that exactly what no acceleration should already look like?! If you have correct setting! When you open the site it says: " A tool to Sync Monitor DPI with Mouse DPI". I found about this program from Chef Koch's tweak guide
